Information systems: Practical approach

The purpose of this paper is to familiarize students with the use of products for creating and managing databases. So, they are shown practical ways of organizing and operating the relational database management system with a set of tools provided by Microsoft. An important part of the work is reserved for the presentation of the SQL language, which is used for creating, managing, and querying relational databases. Implemented in most modern software products database, the SQL language is widely used in database architecture client/server, distributed databases, for accessing databases in computer networks, and for querying databases on a single personal computer. Are illustrated examples of using the SQL language, within the Visual FoxPro product for creating, updating and querying the database. The examples presented and formulated problems towards resolution departs from the beginning and problems resolved in the chapters of this work. SQL query language is a language that is flexible, relatively simple and particularly strong in describing and manipulating data. Using the SQL language is almost mandatory in all applications management software.
